The event took place at at Oxford Technology Park, Kidlington and sought to celebrate the innovation and technology corridor stretching across Cherwell, and encourage entries to the prestigious awards, which are now in their 13th year.

Councillor Lesley McLean, Deputy Leader of the Council and Portfolio Holder for Finance, Regeneration, and Property, said: “Across the district, the hard work and innovation of organisations large and small contributes so much, making Cherwell a great place to work and to do business, and helping maintain a vibrant and varied economy.

“As a council, we are determined to celebrate and support local businesses, and that’s why we are delighted to continue as the main sponsor of the Cherwell Business Awards.

“This week’s launch event was another great opportunity for leaders from across the business community to come together and network, with people able to discover more about how entering could benefit them.

“Taking part in the Cherwell Business Awards can be incredibly rewarding, and I warmly invite people to come forward or nominate a local individual or organisation whom they feel deserves to be celebrated.”

Award categories include businessperson of the year; small business; charity and community award; innovation award; and sustainable business award.

Businesses can apply for the awards or be nominated by a third party.
