More than 2,000 people have completed the Banbury Vision 2050 survey and had their say on the future of Banbury town centre.

Cherwell District Council launched the survey in November as part of the engagement for the Banbury Vision 2050 project. The engagement will identify actions that will help support Banbury town centre to flourish and become more accessible, welcoming, safer and an active place for all. Feedback from the survey and stakeholder workshops will help develop a wider vision for the town centre, taking it up to 2050.

Councillor Donna Ford, Portfolio Holder for Regeneration, said: "We’re delighted that people are engaging with our survey and telling us what they want to see from Banbury town centre.

“Yet we still have a month to go and want to hear from more voices both in Banbury and from surrounding areas. Everyone has a voice and the opportunity to shape the town we want to see in the future, so we ask everyone to get involved and have their say.”

The survey is available at www.banbury2050.co.uk until Monday 15 January.

An exhibition in Castle Quay’s community hub also sets out more information. Here, people can complete paper copies of the survey, allowing everyone to have their voice heard.
