Local Plan Inspector's Report
On 6 August 2020, the Council received the Inspector’s Final Report into the Examination of the Cherwell Local Plan 2011-2031 (Part 1) Partial Review – Oxford’s Unmet Housing Need.
The Report concludes that the Duty to Cooperate has been met and that with the recommended Main Modifications attached to the Report, the Plan satisfies the requirements referred to in Section 20(5)(a) of the 2004 Act and is sound.

What happens next?
The Council will hold an Executive and a full Council meeting to consider the contents of the Inspector's Report and decide whether to adopt the Plan. If adopted, the Cherwell Local Plan Partial Review will then form part of Cherwell’s Development Plan. The policies within the Plan will then be used by the Council to determine planning applications.
