Changes to bin collections
Waste and recycling collection crews will be working throughout the festive season to make sure services are delivered on time and with no delays. Due to the public holidays, some properties will have a change in the day of their collections over the festive period.
Collections due to take place on Wednesday 25 December will instead take place on Monday 23 December, while collections due on Thursday 26 December will take place on Saturday 28 December.
Collections due on Wednesday 1 January will take place on Saturday 4 January 2025.
Please make sure bins are out for collection by 7am.
Garden waste collections
Garden waste collections will be suspended from Monday 23 December until Tuesday 7 January, to allow our crews to prioritise the additional recycling and food waste that accrues over Christmas.
If you have any garden waste over this time that can't wait for the next collection, you can take it to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.
Real Christmas tree collections
We will be collecting real Christmas trees from Tuesday 7 January until and including Friday 17 January. Any tree that is over 5ft tall must be cut in half. Christmas trees will only be collected on your recycling week, therefore please only leave your tree next to your blue recycling bin on collection day.
