Reporting overflowing or damaged bins
Litter bins are emptied at least once a week although bins positioned in busy areas will be emptied more regularly. It is helpful for us if you can tell us:
- The location of the litter bin(s)
- Your contact details
- A brief description of the problem
Report an overflowing or damaged litter bin
We’ll investigate:
- requests for additional litter bins to be positioned in areas where litter is a problem and forward the request to the relevant authority
- reports of misuse, particularly businesses who are dumping commercial refuse in litter bins. For these reports, an Enforcement Officer will visit the bin and attempt to find evidence which could result in a fine being issued.
