About this Grant
Community Food Grants are designed to provide/assist in providing food for communities or developing community food activities involving cooking, growing or nutrition/food education.
We are offering grants of up to £3000 for capital/revenue to support organisations that are providing/assisting in the provision of food or developing community food activities involving cooking, growing or nutrition/food education. The funding for these grants is to support communities in the Cherwell District.
This grant is now closed (1 March 2024) and all funds have been allocated.
Eligibility
Applicants must be providing/assisting in the provision of food or developing community food activities involving cooking, growing or nutrition/food education for residents of Cherwell.
The grant programme is open to not-for-profit organisations only. The grants are not available to individuals or for profit making commercial enterprises.
The following categories of applicant are NOT eligible to apply:-
- Individuals
- Private businesses
- Religious bodies where the monies will be used for religious purposes or religious buildings
- Political parties or political lobbying
Applicant organisations must have a written constitution and bank account in the name of the organisation and provide audited accounts (where applicable).
Assessment and award
Grants will be assessed and awarded on a rolling basis until the budget has been spent.
Where there are a high number of good quality applications, the Council may take other issues into account such as number of beneficiaries.
Successful applicants will be notified within four weeks from the date of receipt of the application form by the Council.
Copies of supplier invoices or other supporting documentation will be required to evidence your claim. We will not pay third parties or the applicant’s staff, contractors or suppliers direct.
