Oxfordshire County Council Elections 2025
Overview
Elections for Oxfordshire County Council are scheduled for 1 May 2025. Cherwell District Council will be running the County Council Elections in the Cherwell District on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council but will be reporting to the Oxfordshire County Council Returning Officer. A centralised count will take place on the 2 May 2025.

Information for Candidates
The County Council Returning Officer held briefings for prospective candidates and agents on Thursday 6 March 2025. Please email the Cherwell District Council Democratic and Elections Team if you would like a copy of the presentation.
The County Divisions in the Cherwell District are listed below. Please click on the name to vew the map for each County Division.
Nomination papers must be handed in at the Council's new offices at 39 Castle Quay, Banbury OX16 5FD between the hours of 10am and 4pm weekdays from Wednesday 26 March to Wednesday 2 April. Please e-mail Cherwell District Council Democratic and Elections Team or call 01295 221534 to book an appointment.

At the request of the OCC Returning Officer, following the close of nominations at 4pm on Wednesday 2 April, Statement of Persons Nominated for each county division will be published on the respective district/City and County Council websites at 12noon on Thursday 3 April.
There are no scheduled elections for the District Council or Parish Councils for 1 May 2025. There are however three district by-elections
